Important · New law changes for 2027

New law changes for 2027. Please read this before you enroll or renew.

These changes can affect your price, your financial help, and even whether you can keep your plan. It only takes 2 minutes to read.

The dates

Open Enrollment runs November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027. Choose a plan by December 15 and you are covered starting January 1. Choose between December 16 and January 15 and coverage starts February 1.

Prices are going up

The extra help Congress added during 2021–2025 ended, and most insurance companies raised their prices for 2027. Your bill may change even if you keep the same plan. A quick review can save you money.

Guess your income carefully

If you end up earning more than you told the Marketplace, you may have to pay back all of the extra help at tax time. There is no longer a limit on how much you repay. Tell us if your income changes during the year so we can update it.

Changes for some immigrants

Starting January 1, 2027, financial help is only available to U.S. citizens, green card holders, Cuban and Haitian entrants, and COFA migrants. People with other statuses (like refugees, asylum, TPS or work visas) can still buy a plan, just without the tax credit. Call us and we will go over your options.

Some insurance companies are leaving

Cigna is leaving the Marketplace in Florida, Texas and Arizona, and Baylor Scott & White is leaving in Texas. If you got a letter saying your plan is ending, do not just wait to be moved. Let us help you choose a new plan that keeps your doctors.

No more signing up any month

People with lower incomes used to be able to sign up any month of the year. That option is gone. Now you need Open Enrollment or a life change, like losing a job, moving, getting married or having a baby.

Have your papers ready

The Marketplace is checking income and life changes more closely. Keep recent pay stubs, a tax return, or a letter from your job handy. We will help you upload anything they ask for, so your coverage is not delayed.

Good news: HSAs

Bronze and catastrophic plans now work with a Health Savings Account (HSA). That means you can put money aside for medical bills tax-free.

Action needed before November 1

  1. Update your informationMoved, or have a new phone number or email? Let us know before November 1. The Marketplace is verifying information more closely this year, and outdated information can delay or even stop your coverage.
  2. Sign your 2027 consent form: new and existing clientsFederal rules require us to have your consent on file before we can help with your application. This applies to everyone: new clients applying for a new policy, and current clients renewing their plan. Our consent form is valid for one plan year, so you need to sign a new one for 2027, even if you signed one last year.

How to sign: tap Sign online to sign with your finger in 1 minute. Or download the PDF and tap Markup → + → Signature (iPhone) or use Adobe Fill & Sign (Android). Or print it, sign it, and send us a clear photo: email info@easyhealthfl.com, text 561-444-8209, or WhatsApp 786-337-1160.

Some 2027 law changes are still being decided in court. We will keep this page updated. Last checked: October 1, 2026.

Why families choose us

  • Real people, real answers

You talk to a trusted, licensed representative who knows your case, not a call center. Need a change to your application, like a new address, income or family member? Contact us anytime during the year. We are here to help, not just at enrollment.

  • Our help costs you nothing

Insurance companies pay us. Your price is exactly the same as if you signed up on your own.

  • We compare every company

We are independent, so we show you plans from every insurance company in your area, not just one.

  • Bilingual, start to finish

We explain everything in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.

Questions people ask us

Does it cost anything to work with you?

No. Our help is free. Insurance companies pay agents, and the price of your plan is the same whether you use us or not.

What is the Marketplace?

It is where people who do not get insurance from a job can buy health insurance and get help paying for it, based on their income. It is also called "Obamacare" or the ACA.

What do I need to apply?

Birth dates for everyone on the plan, Social Security numbers or immigration documents, a best guess of your 2027 household income, and information about any insurance you have now.

Can I keep my doctor?

Many times, yes. Tell us your doctors and medicines and we will look for plans that include them before you choose.

I missed Open Enrollment. Can I still get covered?

Maybe. If you recently lost coverage, moved, got married, or had a baby, you usually have 60 days to sign up. Call us and we will check.

Which states do you help with?

Florida, Texas, Arizona and South Carolina.

My insurance company sent a letter saying my plan is ending. What do I do?

Do not panic and do not just wait. Contact us before December 15 and we will help you choose a new plan that starts January 1.
